Laurel Point Townhouse - Renovation

Exorcised of the seventies, this townhouse was given new life through good design, quality workmanship and materials. The entire space began its extensive transformation with the removal of walls that separated main living areas and interrupted natural light flow. A steel beam replaced a bearing wall and a large unsightly fireplace was chiseled apart and rebuilt on a smaller, more gracious scale. The space was redressed using exquisite walnut and glass. A built in wall unit of floating walnut and glass was designed to showcase special pieces, and hide A/V equipment. The powder room was wrapped in horizontal book-matched walnut panels and the kitchen transformed to an epicurean dream. Upstairs, a small bedroom was removed and the entire floor reconfigured, allowing a narrow hallway to widen, the en-suite and guest bathrooms to enlarge and a laundry room to be added. Opaque glass interior doors throughout ensured the continuity of natural light
